On the 14th of May (2019) Microsoft published a new vulnerability. The unusual part of this release from Microsoft is that they released patches to fix Operating Systems that they no longer support. Such as Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP.

This vulnerability specifically lies within Remote Desktop Services and can allow an attacker to sends specially crafted requests to the server and allows remote code execution.

Microsoft has released a patch for this vulnerability and if you are one any of the vulnerable Operating Systems you should update as soon as possible.

As a Systems Administrator we need to stay up to date on vulnerabilities such as this one so that we can take proper steps to protect our systems.
